Simon Campbell joins eric as creative director
Award-winning creative director Simon Campbell has joined fast-growing creative agency eric.
Simon Campbell, who has spent the past decade at Seven, has joined eric to work across its portfolio of clients that already includes, less than a year after launch, Crabtree & Evelyn, Rhino, Aropec, golftraveller and NZR.
Simon will be part of a three-person management team alongside business director Jane Ditcham, and content director Alex Mead, both formerly of Publicis. “Simon is without doubt one of the best creatives in the business, and his multi-platform experience at the highest level is going to be a huge asset to eric and our clients,” said Jane Ditcham.
Alex Mead added: “We don’t want our prospective clients to think we’re going in determined to basically flog one type of specific content on one specific platform, for us it’s about working out the right route for them to take first, and that’s why we needed a creative director who can work across any channel. Simon can do that and the respect he has in the industry says everything about his talent.”
Simon’s work at Seven included the art direction of ATL & TVC campaigns for Tu Only at Sainsbury’s; video and digital content for Grant Thornton; and the creation and development of cross-platform apps for CIMA. His other work during his time at Seven included Waterstone’s Books Quarterly, Vision Express and LTA’s ACE Tennis Magazine.
