Rhino signs up eric

World-leading rugby and sportswear brand Rhino has renewed its contract with content marketing agency eric to handle its social media, content marketing and PR.

As well as handling Rhino’s social media channels on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, eric will be delivering a content-led marketing strategy to drive traffic to the sport brand’s new hub, rhino.direct. “We’ve been working with eric for six months and the results were so impressive, we’ve decided to bring them on board in a full-time capacity,” explains Reg Clark, CEO, Rhino. “eric’s work on the social platforms combined with extensive knowledge in sports marketing has been a big asset to Rhino and our new platform rhino.direct”

We’ve been working with eric for six months and the results were so impressive, we’ve decided to bring them on board in a full-time capacity.

In addition to overseeing the marketing activation of Rhino’s sponsorship of this year’s British & Irish Lions tour to New Zealand, eric also launched Rhino Prop Star, a nationwide search for the nation’s best grassroots prop and has begun a nation-by-nation series on all 48 countries in the Rugby Europe group.

“Rhino is a name I, along with every other rugby fan and player, grew up with, so we’re really proud to be working with a brand with such a fantastic sporting heritage,” explains Alex Mead, eric, content director. “Today it still leads the field in rugby training equipment, but also produces world-class rugby union and league balls and teamwear across a variety of sports, so we have lots of great stories to tell.”

Rhino joins an ever-growing list of clients on the eric portfolio. The agency launched last year and has already worked with beauty retailer Crabtree & Evelyn, tailored travel agents GolfTraveller, triathlon specialists Aropec, Welsh beer-makers Crafty Devils and New Zealand Rugby.
