eric launches issue 2 of RUGBY

England ‘apprentice’ and Harlequins sensation Marcus Smith gives his first major interview in the second issue of eric’s premium rugby quarterly.

Following the incredible response to the limited-edition issue one of RUGBY, featuring England and British & Irish Lions flanker James Haskell as a cover star (shot exclusively for eric by world-renowned photographer Rick Guest), the second issue of the quarterly is going global and is now available for subscription.

In addition to Marcus Smith, the journal continues its theme of rugby’s greatest stories and storytellers including famous names such as Welsh legends Mike Rayer and Adam Jones, discussing everything from Don King and selling cranes to completing LEGO sets. We have Exeter Chiefs chairman Tony Rowe on a life of drum kits, powerboats, telecoms, rugby and the occasional gin. Topsy Ojo of London Irish talks about his Nigerian roots, changing times at Irish and future plans. But it’s perhaps in the features with lesser-known names that RUGBY makes its mark.

Names such as Tyronie Rowe, who worked in a Jamaican morgue aged 13 and found himself in the middle of the Tivoli Gardens incursion that saw more than 70 lose their lives. Rugby has provided his escape to another life.
