eric has launched a bespoke digital magazine for leading Finnish golf tech company, Golf GameBook
Golf Society launched in Finland earlier this year and gained an audience of 17,000 unique visitors in its first month. The native language content was a mix of big-name golf interviews, travel and lifestyle features and, on a platform built to meet the specific needs of Golf GameBook’s audience, proved to be a hit with advertisers and readers alike.
Mikko Manerus, founder and CEO of Golf GameBook said: “eric are incredibly creative in their approach, both in terms of design and editorial ideas, and this has been key to the success of Golf Society. They also have an in-depth knowledge of the subject area and the topics around it, such as food, travel and culture.
“We had a very quick turnaround time for this project and Golf Society is going to be regularly updated, so eric’s ability to respond quickly to last-minute changes and still meet our high standards has also been important.”
While Golf Society has initially launched in Finland, the plan is to launch the title in multiple languages that reflect Golf GameBook’s market. The golf scoring app that combines social media with golf, currently serves more than 660,000 golfers globally.
“Golf GameBook are at the forefront of golf tech and in Finland almost every golfer uses their app, so we had to look closely at the viewing habits of the audience to produce the right sort of digital magazine,” explains Simon Campbell, eric’s creative director. “The figures already prove the format and content works and it’s only going to get better as we continue to develop both aspects.”
